Seminario: Del Aula a la Voz
07/05/2025
On May 7, 2025, our Spanish seminar was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow teachers and celebrate our shared passion for Spanish language education.
We were honoured to have three special guests join us: Filipa Pinto from Le Toboggan, Colleen Barclay from Modern Language Teachers' Association of WA, and Andrés Gómez and Rosa Prieto from Education Office of Spain in Australia & New Zealand Acción Educativa Exterior.
This seminar was an inspiring and enriching experience, where we explored meaningful ways to connect with and actively participate in the teaching and learning of Spanish language and culture in Western Australia.

Don't miss this opportunity to connect, learn, and grow as an educator!
On Wednesday, January 29, the Spanish Language Teachers' Association of Western Australia held its inaugural event at the University of Western Australia. The highlight of the event was the seminar Flourishing in a Second Language: Positive Psychology, Transition Pedagogy, and CLIL Resources in Spanish, presented by Dr. Anna Gadd, Founder of Spanish Studies and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy at UWA. The seminar provided insights into different methodologies that promote Spanish learning.
We were also honoured to have Andrés Gómez from the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain in Victoria, Australia join us for this special occasion. This event marked an important milestone as our first official gathering as a Spanish teachers' association, setting the foundation for future collaborations and professional development opportunities.
